iDotto is a product of Duel S.p.A. together with "La Sapienza" University of Rome.

Duel S.p.A. sells and creates applications, services and integrated systems for the management of multimedia content. The company was founded in 1994 and its mission is to develop and manage complex applications characterized by technological innovation. Duel's experience includes systems and solutions for editing, managing and distributing multimedia content; its target market are broadcasters, telecoms operators, and public and private companies wishing to deliver multimedia services to their users. Over the years, Duel has often demonstrated that it is a leader in creating innovative solutions in integration and convergence.
Texts are organized according to an innovative method following research conducted with the Department of Sociology and Communications of the "La Sapienza" University of Rome (Prof. Alberto Marinelli, dott. Emmanuel Mazzucchi). The authors of the content are Marina Borrometi, Gloria D’amore, Stefania Pizza, Emmanuel Mazzucchi, Vincenzo Iannetti and Vera D’Antonio.

The evaluation group from the FILAS Regional Financing Company has considered the iDotto project valid for benefitting from 'Innovation Projects from micro and small Enterprises.'
The project was eligible as it fulfilled the requirements of an innovative product and innovative marketing.
