It's especially useful when you are abroad, right? Download it before you leave for Rome, or while you are in town. But be careful, there is a lot of content to download.

When visiting a city you will obviously need a map. You can use the ones that come with your smartphone, but they need an Internet connection!
iDotto contains maps for nearly all the city, and you can also ask it to calculate the best route to your destination, all offline. And if you want, iDotto will talk to you about the things you see as you are on your way.

With iDotto, there is no need to read: it's awkward to read from a screenwhen you're in the sunshine, or to hold a guidebook when you're eating ice cream; it's distracting to have to look down to read when you are walking or sightseeing.
iDotto gives you back your hands, so you can walk around the city looking up.

iDotto follows you when you are walking in town, but also works when you're sitting down. Use the Explore mode on the map to find out what there is to see, and listen to the things you will find, even before you set out. Attention: Explore mode only allows you to listen to some of iDotto's tales. You'll have to get to the location to enjoy it in full!

iDotto does not give you orders or impose an itinerary: it follows you and talks about the things you are seeing. But it has plenty to say: it will talk about famous monuments and little alleyways, about fashionable shopping and artisan outlets, films and pop music, restaurants and local recipes.
